I finally got around to taking some pictures of the no-longer-baby dog. :)
He's now 7 months old, 20 inches at the shoulder. weight approx. 25 lbs.
its been a while sinc ehe was weighed, so Im not positive on this.

is there anywhere I can post some pictures to get opinions on what he might
be?

yes, there are tons of hounds here. One of my childhood dogs looked like a
1/3 size coonhound.

My husband says Cypher runs like a greyhound :)
his front legs run "seperately" while his back legs move together. plus,
his rear legs kind of splay out as he runs..

nope, not really.. forgot to mention that.. :) he will OCCASSIONALLY
play fetch.. most of the time its like "what did you throw that way over
there for?" If you can get him excited and pumped up, he's good for maybe
4-5 throws then he's done.

we've tried different toys, anything he likes, but he quickly loses
interest.. He's also not a huge fan of the water (there is a pond in our
backyard). But, he does have a very lab-ish coat, water runs right off
him, almost impossible to get him wet enough for a bath! very different
from the Lab-Chow we used to own who was totally retrieve obsessed!

His personality is ultra-people-friendly. He loves everyone he meets, gets
super excited everytime someone comes to the yard. Have been working on it
a LOT as he tries to go home with the delivery people. Yesterday got him to
come back and sit on the porch after a quick hello to the electric lady
YEAH!

I think that about covers it personality-wise.
Also, not sure if it shows in the pictures, he has the tiniest white patch
in the center of his chest. It was the size of a dime when he was a puppy,
but is slowly going away as he grows.

thanks :) he's a real cutie.. and great with kids, though a bit excitable
in his puppy stages. and so accident prone! he fits right in with the
other kids, none of them can walk in a straight line without falling over
their own 2 feet it seems. So, when you get them all together someone is
bound to get a booboo!

It's not unusual for puppies to be less than thrilled with retrieving , even in
retrieving breeds.
